Visit to Arizona!

The very next day after school was out, we all flew to Arizona. We had a wonderful time and did some really fun things. Time flew by and even though we did a lot in the amount of time we were there, there was still so many friends and family I wish I could of had more time to visit with.
It all starts though with going through Security at the airport and they confiscated CJ's suitcase to search and end up finding his 8" pocketknife that he brough along because we were going "camping". Chris and I definately had a "freak out" moment when the security guard pulled that thing out and was waiting to hear our response. CJ is so embarressed and hates it when I tell this story to people. Sorry CJ
My family all pitched in and rented a big cabin up in the pines, so we could all hang out together. That was a lot of fun! They had horses and quads to ride and a trampoline. Inside they had a big toy room, ping pong table, air hockey table and a pool table. The kids had a blast. Us adults had fun too! It was so fun to sit around at night when all the kids went to bed and we were able to just sit and chat and laugh with each other. It was definately the best part of the trip being able to spend that time with family all together. While we were up there we were able to get a family picture, thanks to my great sister-in-law! I'll post a picture.
Jon my brother-in-law recently got his aerobatics pilot license and took me up in a bi-plane and showed some pretty cool moves! As my kids would say "That was beast!" or "That was wicked!" or "That was sick!" However you say it, it was totally awesome and I had a blast! WE did loops and barrel rolls and flew upside down and dives. It was.......BEAST!
Lori my sister took the kids to this place with a rock climbing wall. They had a good time doing that. For some reason it is such a confidence booster to do something like that. At the very end she talked me into it. I have to say I was pretty proud of myself. I haven't done anything like that in probably 15 years. I made it to the top! My arms were shaking so bad I almost didn't make it. We'll just ignore that, out of the 4 routes to choose from, it was one of the easiest.
One thing I love about Arizona is they have some pretty cool city water parks for cheap. We had a good time in the sun. Chris and I also got to go watch Les Miserables at the Gammage and the last night we were there my family all got together and did a Luau at Lori's. We finished the night with a slide show and a game of Reverse Charades which was stomach rolling hilarious! Thank you so much to my family and friends for letting us stay in your homes and feeding us and coming up with so many fun activities! P.S. Okay when I posted, it mixed up my pictures and the one with the feet was after a day walking around at the zoo. They're feet were disgusting, I thought it was funny.

Sweet Glasses

Aunt Lin and Connie sent our kids a package for Easter with lots of fun stuff and candy. The kids were so excited to see a package come in the mail for them! I don't know where they found these glasses but they were a big hit! Soooo adorable.
Thanks Aunt Lin and Aunt Connie. We love and miss you.

Visited Nana Pat and Paco the bird. These are the only two pictures I got. Of course I got down there with a dead battery. As always we had a great time visiting with Nana. The first day there I had to jump in the deep end of the pool with all my clothes on to save Mason. He saw his brother jump in and without thinking just jumped in right after him. I hesitated for a second or two hoping I could get CJ's attention to turn around and get him. Poor thing he was kicking but couldn't get his head all the way above the water. I could see the whites of his eyes under the water, he was scared. As I was jumping in and swimming to him, he did finally remember to turn around and started grabbing for the side. I was proud of him. We did some yard work for grandma, picked lots of oranges and grapefruit. We walked the pier one day and saw a dolpin in the distance and watched a guy catch and reel in a king mackrel all the way from the pier. It was pretty big, about as long as my arm. The last day there we stayed on the beach. I love just laying there and soaking in the sun and watching the kids play. They buried treasure (fruit snack) and marked it with an X. Macey couldn't get enough of the water, she was the last one out everytime.

My Sweet Girl is now 2 ! ! !

We love her so much. We love her big eyes and her many funny expressions.

Macey had to give a talk in Primary and it had been awhile since I had a chance to be in there so I stayed to listen to all of music time and sharing time. The teacher asked the question to the kids "Why do you want to see Heavenly Father again?" (something like that) I see Cade raise his hand and he's got it stretched as far as he could, sitting on the edge of his seat so happy when she calls on him. Cade's reply: "Because I have some questions to ask him."
Man O man that kid cracks me up.

Arrow of Light

C.J. earned his Arrow of Light! I can't believe I have a son old enough to earn one. I think I hold him back a bit because he just doesn't seem old enough to me. I've got to work on that. That same day Cade got his Bobcat. It was a fun night. The only bummer was that Chris was out of town for work and had to miss it.

"WOC Night" Wrestling Of Curby's (CJ's suggestion)

We sometimes like to kid with Cade because Macey who is two years younger and very competitive, can every now and then beat Cade. They were both in funny moods and started a wrestling match with CJ as the ref, calling the match. Cado the Crusher vs Macey the Monster. Then it went onto Cade on his knees vs Mason (Dubby the Dinosaur). Next came Samuri C.J. vs Gorilla Dad(on his knees he really did look like a gorilla). By this time, boys being boys and full of testosterone, all had their shirts off. First one to five wins! Then came Mom vs Gorilla Dad, poor little Maddie got a little worried. At about round 3, Mason trying to pep Mom up yells out "Mom you need to take your shirt off too!" We all just busted up laughing. It was absolutely hilarious, he said it so innocently with not a clue and stared at us with a blank face wondering why we were all laughing. Priceless

I was never able to pull it together and get a family picture done for Christmas cards. This is all I was able to get in December. At least I got a picture of all the kids together for the year of 2010. (sigh) They do grow up fast.

Macey and Mason's Birthdays

I can't believe our little Dubby is now 4 yrs old. He is the sweetest, most tender hearted boy and a little ruffian on the flip side and lovingly beats up on his little sister a lot. The stinker. We sure do love him and his sweet funny personality.

Macey turned 6. Crazy to think we left Arizona when she was 10 months old and now she's 6. She was so excited to go to Build-a-Bear! She requested to go there more than six months before her birthday and every month she would remind me.
Macey Mo is such a ham and has us rolling sometimes with her funny faces and theatrical gestures. Oh my goodness and I am not used to the drama that comes along with girls. Thank goodness for Chris that can reason with her. She has always been such a big helper and so motherly to anyone that is hurt in anyway. Love you two.
